Railroad Tigers – A Comprehensive Review

Nominated for eight Academy Awards including Best Picture, Train to Busan is a psychological thriller/love-story/adventure about the unlikely romance and friendship between an American serviceman and a South Korean girl. Sung-ho Jeon (Kwon Sang-ho) is an American GI who lives in South Korea. Due to his trauma from the war, he spent a lot of time hospitalized and had no friends. When he returns to the USA, he reconnects with Soon-hee (Kwon Suk-woo) A beautiful girl from his hometown. They fall in love and become pen pals.

The movie begins in the late 1980s when the two meet at the restaurant, and he leaves her to return home. He arrives at her home later that same day and they share a candlelight dinner together. Their friendship is strengthened after Soon-hee relates her past and he tells her about his previous experiences in the military. The two go to a restaurant later that night and Soon-hee becomes drunk. She requests him to drive her home.

The movie then chronicles their courtship and marriage. Soon-hee is enraged by Sung-ho’s endless questions about Soon-hee’s life, love life, and background. He also nags her with his thoughts about sexuality, which turns into a reality when gets caught by Park Myung-se who is the head of the Korea Railroad. Park arrests Sungho for trespassing on railroad tracks. However, Soon-hee’s father decides to pursue charges against Soon-hee for his use of drugs, alcohol, and other criminal acts Park has committed against him.

ดูหนังออนไลน์ฟรี Park is sentenced for two years in prison, but Park is permitted to complete a portion of his sentence in Geo jail. There, he makes acquaintance with Baek-min, a fellow Geo inmate. Baek-min is attempting to flee from his crime but Park is able to capture him and release him after he’s served only a few months. While serving his sentence Park becomes close with another inmate, Ah-joo. Soon-hee finds Park attractive and decides to help him leave the prison, but soon realizes that Park is returning to his criminal ways once again. Park is then able to escape but is re-captured by Park’s ally, Hyung-joo. Park then reveals his plan for releasing the heads of the victims of the railroad accident to them in the Geo Jail.

Park then launches his plan to take out the heads and use them as weapons against criminals. With his newly acquired skills, he crafts several weapons like a rocket launcher and a chainsaw with heavy-duty. He soon realizes that the villains also own weapons like a handgun and an assault rifle. They have become an unbeatable force that is completely unexpected.

Park then unleashes his plan to free the remaining prisoners by shooting laser beams of light from his eyes at the criminals who are lined up along the prison walls. The only problem is that the beam releases causes an explosion that injures all of the guards and the prisoners in the prison. However, soon enough, a new batch of prisoners is released by the prison authorities, who lead them to the guards’ post. The criminals however arrive just in time to watch the group of guards being killed one by one.

Park then begins his next plan, in which will see him shoot Kim as he’s moving with his new weapon. However, Park is unaware that his intended target is actually a policeman on the move. Kim then shoots and kills the police officer and escapes. With this success, he now has full custody of the railroad company. The film concludes with survivors trying to escape Geo prison. Park who was left by his family and shunned, is still struggling to adjust to his new surroundings. He has decided to follow his ambition of becoming a filmmaker.

This movie is based on the Korean drama “Korean Railway Tigers” that was a huge success all over the world. The plot is superb and the acting is top-notch and the special effects are superb. This film will definitely be among the most anticipated films in 2021. It has all the ingredients to be a huge hit around the world!
